The innovative approach involves outfitting crew members with wearable devices, serving a dual purpose. Firstly, these wearables enable real-time positional tracking within the ship, bolstering situational awareness and ensuring swift and accurate location identification.
Moreover, these wearables go beyond mere tracking; they offer comprehensive health monitoring capabilities. Alongside positional data, our solution seamlessly captures intricate health metrics such as heart rate and blood oxygen saturation (spo2). This integration of health monitoring provides an additional layer of safety, allowing for the prompt detection of any anomalies or distress.
The software is a Windows desktop application that plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of the ship's operations. It operates as the central hub, seamlessly integrating various technologies to achieve its objectives. Incorporating both USB communication and multiple wireless protocols, MQTT , the software maximizes versatility in data exchange. It efficiently manages data transfer between the wearable devices and the central system, regardless of the communication medium.
